Bowel Cancer Awareness Month

I have just read that someone dies from bowel cancer every thirty seconds and it is the UK's second biggest cancer killer. Seems unthinkable doesn't it?  The fact is however that it is a very treatable disease particularly when diagnosed early.  Here is a link to Bowel Cancer UK website's help us raise awareness page.  bowelcanceruk.org.uk  Lets raise awareness and hopefully save some lives!!!

Steve Rowland to cycle for Stanno

Steve Rowland, a great friend and strike partner of Adam's at Elmore FC is taking on a massive challenge in aid of The Foundation.  Steve who is one of our Event Coordinators is going to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats on the 1st of September 2013.  Steve posted the following message on his online giving page:

Hi, thanks for visiting my just giving page. You can sponsor me to cycle from Lands End to John O Groats in aid of the Adam Stansfield Foundation.  I am aiming to raise as much money as possible in support of Adam's foundation which is set up for the benefit of children up to the age of 16 residing in Devon, Herefordshire and Somerset by providing grants and facilities for playing football. My cycle will also help raise more awareness of bowel cancer.  Being a good friend of Adams, playing football together at Elmore FC and being a trustee of the AS9 foundation, i wanted to undertake a significant challenge to raise as much money as possible for a very worthwile cause. This is what i came up with!  Cycling the 930 miles from Lands End to John O Groats, averaging over 100 miles per day for 9 days is going to be tough but i am extremely determined to succeed and with your support i know i can pull it off.  Please support me in my challenge by giving as much as you can to help me reach my goal.  Donations will be quickly processed and passed to the foundation. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.        Steve Rowland.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Steve for undertaking this massive challenge and would be very grateful if you could get behind him by donating to Steve on his online giving page here:   Cycle For Stanno

Thank you so much for any donations and as always your continued support means so so much.

Match Worn QPR Shirt

Match Worn QPR Shirt on eBay (Click link to check it out and bid)

This is a QPR shirt as worn by Leon Clarke. The shirt was donated to The Foundation by our good friend Brian Cunningham. Brian took the shirt along to the recent Alan McDonald tribute match which was held after Alan's very sad passing away this year. The match was played at Seaview in Belfast between a QPR Legends XI and a Northern Ireland Legends XI. The shirt was very kindly signed by the following:
QPR XI: Gerry Francis, Ray Wilkins, Trevor Challis, Les Ferdinand, Kevin Gallen, Richard Langley, Darren Peacock and Andy Sinton.

NI XI: Pat Jennings, Keith Gillespie, Jim Magilton, Sammy McIlroy and Tommy Wright.

Also to go along with the shirt is the match programme and a ticket stub from the Alan McDonald tribute match. Thanks in advance to anyone who bids on the items and best of luck in the bidding. Also massive thanks again to Brian for donating the shirt and his continued support to The Foundation. It really is so appreciated.
