Holly Bint and family raise £333 by completing the Chagford Two Hills Race

Holly Bint, along with her Dad Jon, Mum Ruth and siblings Joseph (12) and Morwenna (10), recently completed the Chagford Two Hills Race in aid of the Foundation.
Holly (now aged 8) was a match-day mascot for the Southampton game on 6 February 2010, as part of her 7th birthday celebrations. Holly had the above photo taken with Adam that day. She also attended Adam’s funeral with her Dad. It was after this that the Bint family decided that they wanted to raise money for Adam’s foundation by completing the Two Hills Race.
Holly was born with talipes, which saw her with one leg in plaster from the age of one week old. She subsequently had some corrective surgery a few years later, which gave her full mobility; however, one foot is still considerably twisted. For Holly to complete the Two Hills Race was a considerable achievement. The race itself was really well supported, with a full field of just over 200 runners. Holly did amazingly well in the race and still had energy to play on the bouncy castle after it. In fact she was still bouncing when they did the presentations, and she had to be called off to come and receive the Plate for being the first Under-10 Female Resident, much to the family’s surprise and pleasure! The whole family finished in a very impressive time of 54mins 31 secs.
This was a fantastic effort by Holly and the whole family, and we are extremely grateful for all their efforts. We are continually moved and encouraged by the support we have received since Adam died. Thanks again to Holly and her family for doing this, and to everyone who continues to support us in what we are trying to do in Adam’s memory.
